New Year’s Brunch

Celebrate 2009 with a Sunday brunch at John and Dori Moerer’s house. Enjoy casual brunch fare like scrambled eggs, bacon, baked goodies, and maybe even a few secret family recipes! Elevate Bible Study

This Bible study was created specifically for Young Adults. It utilizes DVD instructional segments, Bible readings, and challenging questions to encourage great conversation. It tackles practical, real-life issues we young adults face, such as making big decisions, family transitions, and living as a Christian in a secular world. We meet at different locations each month, so watch the church bulletin or contact Dori Moerer (dori@moerer.net) to find out where the next study will meet.

Young Adult Winter Retreat
Saturday, January 17th - Monday, January 19th
Breckenridge, CO
We will be joining the Young Adults group from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Denver for a peaceful (or exciting-your choice!) winter getaway. Ski/snowboard at Breckenridge, snowshoe, shop, or just curl up with a good book or movie and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We will stay at Christ Lutheran Church in Breckenridge (they have showers). Cost is $10 per night plus the cost of food (to be announced). Bring a sleeping bag and pillow, and money for whatever outdoor activities you’d like to enjoy. RSVP by Friday, January 9 for this event to Dori Moerer (dori@moerer.net) so we know how much food to bring.

“Super Bowl of Chili” Party

Root for your favorite team AND your favorite chili at the Young Adults 2009 Super Bowl party at Brad and Amy Buerck’s house. Bring your favorite chili recipe in a crock-pot for our “Super Bowl Chili Cook-off” OR bring a side dish or dessert to share. Back to Childhood II: Games Galore
Saturday, March 7th @ 6:30 p.m.
Mount Olive Lutheran Church (in the Fellowship Hall)
Last year we had a successful “Back to your Childhood Night” with cartoons and retro food. This year, we are going to kick it up a notch by inviting Young Adults from several churches around the Denver metro area for a Young Adults game night. Join us in the Mount Olive Fellowship Hall for card games, video games old and new, board games, and of course - your favorite childhood foods! Bring a game to play and a dish to share. See you there!
