Opportunities for Children
Summer Programs
Summer Sunday School will take children on a trip through the Bible. This summer children will be invited to our Summer Sunday School Cinema. Each week children age 3 through grade five will watch an exciting Bible story. Throughout the summer, we will see God’s plan of salvation unfold. Summer Sunday School Cinema begins June 6, 2010. Children will meet in Skidmore Hall from 9:30-10:30 each Sunday. There will be no Summer Sunday School on July 4. Parents are welcome to join the fun each week at Summer Sunday School.
Summer Camps are offered through
Lutheran Valley Retreat. www.lvr.org
Traditional School Year Programs (meet Labor Day

Opportunities for Families
The Faith Legacy Program offers parents guidance as their children grow in faith. The Faith Legacy Program offers three week classes for parents as their children reach important faith milestones. The classes help parents understand faith development at each stage and offer helpful ideas for use in the home. At the end of each three week class, children are given a special faith object and parents bless their children during a worship service. The faith milestones are:
- Birth/Baptism- Children receive a Faith Chest
- Age 2-Children receive a Toddler Bible
- Age 3-Children “tour the church” and create a Worship Bag as they graduate from nursery
- Age 4-Children receive a Woship Kit for home devotions
- Age 6-Children receive a Towel and Basin
- Age 8-Children receive a Bible
Family Nights are a fun family activity. Families gather together for fun, food and fellowship. Each family night has a different theme. Families are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to join the fun.
Fellowship & Service Events are a great way to spend time with old friends, and meet new ones! One of these is the annual Easter Event with egg hunts, stories, refreshments and crafts for children and adults. We also meet for a chance to serve others... in a new manner each year. Watch the Olive Branch or call the church office to learn about other events.
