Adult Ministries

Small Groups: Small groups are gatherings of 3-12 people who meet on a regular basis to study God's word, share what their faith has meant in their lives, pray together and grow in a loving caring relationship with each other that cannot be achieved by just attending worship on Sunday. There are many groups meeting already, and several in the works. Find out more.

Stephen Ministry: Our congregation's Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Find out more.

Young Adult Ministry: Sometimes young adults can feel a little disconnected in a large congregation - especially one with a strong family focus like Mount Olive. The Young Adults group provides fellowship, service, and Bible study opportunities for adults in their 20s and 30s, and helps them connect with others in the congregation. Find out more.

Human Care Ministry: Human Care Ministry exists to advocate and express love and concern, as exemplified in the life of Jesus Christ, to minister to the physical and social needs of the congregation and the community, and to extend Christian compassion and helpfullness to persons in need in our Mount Olive Family and in the community. Activities include assistance to Aurora Interchurch, Lutheran Family Services and Good Shepherd Lutheran Homes. Food baskets are assembled and distributed at Thanksgiving, Cookie Cans are sent to college students during the school year and Christmas gifts are gathered through our Angel Tree Program

Parish Fellowship: Parish Fellowship strives to promote a sense of community at Mount Olive by providing opportunities to deepen and expand relationships through fellowship activities. Some of the activities include a Valentine Dinner, Dinner for Eight (small groups that meet for dinner once a month), the Church Picnic, an Oktoberfest event, and other great activities throughout the year.
